After the ABC Show ended we attended the RDIA conference and got the chance to meet and get to know many wonderful and influential people in the cloth diapering industry. I have no pictures from this event, except this one. Some other cloth diapering ladies and I had some fun at our lunch table using the Mary's Softdough samples we were given to create some fabulous cloth diapers, flowers and fruits and whatever else we came up with. One lady even made a toilet and diaper sprayer with a dirty diaper hanging over the toilet! Unfortunately, I have no picture of that one. It was fun to be around so many like-minded people.
I met another cloth diaper manufacturer who also had 4 young children at home. While talking to one of her employees I asked, "How does she do it all?" (since I frequently find myself completely overwhelmed with all my responsibilities as business owner, mother, wife, and homemaker) and her response was, "Oh yes, it's a lot of hard work but she does have 3 nannies and a cook and she never has to cook or clean but it's still a lot to do."
As I sit here at my clustered desk knowing there are dishes in the sink, laundry to be folded, diapers to change, diapers to wash, dinner to be cooked, children to kiss and hug and hold, and orders to be filled and shipped, I am more comforted in knowing that I just can't do it all at once and that's okay. :)
