Fall is Here!

Our chickens are still laying but I'm starting to notice them slowing down a bit now that the days are getting shorter. We were planning on putting a light in the coop to trick them into laying through the winter but right now we're more concerned about actually getting the coop finished so our hens have some decent shelter for the winter.

The kids and I went to a local corn maze and had a blast. Unfortunately my camera ran out of battery shortly after we got there and I had to use my phone to take some of the pictures. We would have had some great pictures of the kids choosing their pumpkins too. Oh well, so goes life.

Can you believe I actually cooked a turkey? Okay, some people were surprised I hadn't before because it's such a basic homemaker thing to do but... I'm not your standard homemaker. However, the turkey was delicious!

I finally started pretending that Madi has enough hair for a pony tail. 

I cooked chili for dinner one night (after it SNOWED) and Clint brought home these pumpkin bread bowls for us to eat it in. We're so festive.
